Film Acting for Kids and Teens!

The Film Acting Academy of Denver has amazing classes for kids and teens on Tuesday nights in Highlands Ranch and Saturday mornings in Denver. We also offer private coaching and Small Group Lessons. Please scroll down for more information about the classes and to register!

Sunday Morning Film Acting for Kids and Teens (8-14 years old, younger with prior approval) is a once-a-month, Sunday morning workshop designed to help young actors take the next step in their film acting careers. These workshops will show them how to acquire that ever elusive quality known as on-screen presence. They’ll master the many technical aspects of acting in front of a camera, learn how to completely live “in the moment”, and develop the confidence to take on any role. Students will continue to develop an amazing technique for learning their lines quickly, employ simple strategies to enjoy stress-free auditions, and practice the habits needed on a professional set. Most of all, young actors will gain total confidence that their best “choice” in a character is ALWAYS to be themselves and to trust that amazing things will happen once the camera starts rolling.

When: First Sunday of each month (starting in 2018) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon a.m.
Where:  The Film Acting Academy of Denver – 7625 W. 5th Ave., Unit 105-N, Lakewood 80226
Cost: $60 per session (discount available for returning students, as well as discounts for additional family members).

Tuesday Night Film Acting for Kids and Teens: Returning in 2018!
Class is for 8-14 year old actors, though younger kids can enroll with prior approval. This is an ongoing weekly acting class that meets the first four Tuesday of every month. Young actors can stop worrying about a character’s back-story or making choices before the camera rolls because all that stuff gets in the way of them listening to their scene partner and “being” in the moment. Students will learn an amazing technique for learning lines quickly, a stress-free way to audition, and the one simple little secret that every Hollywood actor knows. The class teaches actors how to “be in the moment” and to trust that amazing things will happen once the camera starts rolling.

When: Tuesdays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Start Date: 2018
Where:  Highlands Ranch, CO 80130 (please call for address).
Cost: $140 per month (first four Tuesdays unless otherwise stated). No make up classes, credit, or refunds for missed classes. No half sessions due to limited class size (6 students max).
